Step-by-Step Repair Process
- Clean the area: Thoroughly clean and degrease the damaged area
- Sand the damage: Start with 80-grit sandpaper to smooth out the rough edges, then progress to 150 and 220 grit
- Fill deep gouges: Apply wheel filler, let it dry, then sand smooth
- Prime the area: Apply 2-3 thin coats of primer, letting each coat dry
- Sand the primer: Wet sand with 400-grit for a smooth surface
- Apply wheel paint: Apply 2-3 thin coats of matching wheel paint
